SOOO much has happened...
Graduated, got a big girl job (thank you Lord), finished Insanity (another big thank you Lord, even though I am starting it over Monday), learned we are expecting another great nephew in the fall!!
Pinning was May 11 - so was graduation, but I skipped that. The night before we went out to eat with mom and dad, and then we headed over to the EC for a couple of drinks with some friends...
Kris, the hubs, and me (yes i had a black eye, long story haha)
My sweet girls Leslie and Kaylee =) Gonna miss them!!
Madison at pinning! Lucky for me she only lives in Tyler!
My new job is in the OR here in Sulphur Springs. I couldn't have been more blessed with this position. I am able to be home every evening and only drive about 10 minutes to work and home again. So far...I love it!
Joel has lost over 50 pounds in about 2 months with Insanity and eating better! I am so proud of him! He weighs less than he ever has since we've been together.
I have so many more pictures to post - from some gigs Joel has played, some softball games, Cinco de Mayo and Memorial Day weekend, and a wedding. I am, however, tired, and the hubs will be home soon for a few hours before going to stay with the boys at work camp. SOOO off of here I go....
Until then...

Best Spring Break...Ever!
and I didn't even go anywhere! The first Saturday of SB was our church league volleyball tournament, and we got 2nd. It was a LONG tiring day. Sunday, I went to church and then spent the entire day in the bed with my sweet husband watching Storage Wars and American Pickers.
Monday, Tuesday were work days. Wednesday I did a lot of nothing. Thursday was a half day at work.
Friday, Joel and I went to Mom and Dad's and hung out with them for a while. We went through some of Granny's old stuff. I felt like American Pickers. It was amazing! We took dad's little boat home with us, and stopped off at Cooper Lake for a little run on it. Saturday we spent the entire day at the lake and I paid for it with my sun burn. Here are some pics from Friday and Saturday.
I caught this fella, but my sweet husband took him off for me
If you look close, you can see the beaver swimming through.
OW!

Just a little update
Been sick since Wednesday. It is NOT fun! On a brighter note, I really like mother baby, but still don't know if that's somewhere I want to be. It's so hard to make a decision.
I took all of our pups to the vet this week. Had them all weighed (Harley = 91 lbs, Beans = 69 lbs, and Knox = 41 lbs.), vaccinated, and heart worm tested. Beans has heart worms. :( This was devastating news to me, because I knew we had messed up a while on her heart worm prevention meds. We scheduled an appointment for Knox to get neutered Wednesday (Happy Valentine's to him!) and for Beans to start heart worm treatment. They say it's a terrible process. I don't look forward to it at all.
Last night, Joel and I went to Arlington and watched the Country Music Revue. The one and only Monty Tipps sang. We only stayed until intermission because we knew we had to get up super early this morning, but it was a lot of fun! I'd definitely like to go back sometime, and maybe take my mom and dad.
Yesterday was mom's birthday. Today we had a lunch for her at Stacey's house.
Started a new lesson in Connect Group tonight. "Not a Fan." So far, I like.
Test tomorrow in Community that I should be studying for, but I just can't make myself. That's why I'm writing here. Guess I should get on that...

Dear Community Nursing..
This semester has got to have the most boring challenging lectures of all. All 3 classes so far. I am, however, getting to do my clinicals in Mother Baby the first half of the semester. I'm pretty excited about that, and hope that it will definitely show me if that's something I'm really interested in doing in the future.
We have completed 2 full weeks of our running schedule. Sunday we ran 6 miles. (Okay so we probably only ran about 4 of , but we finished.) It hurt. But the best part is knowing that we CAN. (and that we only have 2 miles tonight.)
So looking forward to April 15 (the race) and then May 11 (graduation!!!)

Man, my body feels old!
We are 1/3 of the way through our 2nd week of the 14 weeks to 10 miles training routine. Last week we made the mistake of putting off our long (5 mile) run/walk until Monday instead of doing it on Sunday. Which means we had to follow it with 2 miles of running on Tuesday. Man, I ached. My body could have really used that day of rest that Monday was supposed to have been. Tonight we have 3 miles and Sunday is 6 miles. I hate it while it's happening, but love it when it's over. On cross training nights we are rotating volleyball and weight training. I already feel 10 times better (minus my hips and knees aching all the time).
School started this week. My LAST semester before reaching my goal of BSN. Then starts the new goal, MSN. But one thing at a time :). Until then...

14 weeks to 10 miles...
Starts tomorrow. In April, Joel has arranged for us to run the Austin 10-20, a 10 mile race with 20 bands along the way. So...starting tomorrow we have a training plan designed to get us ready for the 10 miles. Hopefully I don't keel over :)

Good night, 2011...Good morning, 2012!
And today starts a new year. If what they say is true, (about whatever you do on New Years day, you will do all year long) I am going to spend a lot of time with the most amazing man I know, hanging out with the friends we love, watching football and snuggling. That will be just fine with me!
Last night we rang in the New Year at the Granada in Dallas with Kirby Brown (accompanied by sister, Kelsey), Ishi, and JT and the Northern Lights. Fantastic show! Here are just a couple of pics...(more will be added when I can get them from Christian) I didnt take my camera, b/c I was afraid it would get broken (and it probably would have, that place was PACKED)
My sweet girls, Jack and Holly
The hubs being silly :)
Me :)
Mr. Kirby Brown himself
Us girls later in the evening
The boys this morning, minus Dillon who sleeps in the closet haha
I look forward to 2012 and instead of making resolutions that I won't keep, I will set goals each month. January, I hope to be on the treadmill (or street if the weather is pretty enough) at least 4 nights a week 30 minutes a night. I hope to be running 3.1 miles, no walking, by the end of January. I will do everything I can to make these hopes a reality.
